Istrian Malvasia

Malvasia is a native, traditional wine variety in Istria, consumed with joy as an everyday wine. It is a wine of a rich, full and strong aroma, and a golden-yellow to greenish colour. It reminds of the fragrances of elder, vanilla and acacia, and is a harmonious, light and stable wine. It is served cold, at 10–12 °C, and is best paired with fish, shellfish or scampi, as well as white meat.

Sweet Malvasia

The grapes are harvested approximately one month after the usual grape harvest. Such a late harvest results in a high content of alcohol (16%) and sugar (8%). It should be served chilled to 14 °C, and accompanying a dessert.

Chardonnay

The homeland of Chardonnay is the Champagne region in France.
Due to its extraordinary quality, this wine grape variety is one of the most appreciated varieties worldwide. In Istria, most of the Chardonnay vineyards can be found around the town of Poreč. The wine has a classic bouquet and should be served chilled to 12 °C to accompany white meat or fish.

Pinot Blanc

This wine variety is spread all over Europe and in Istria it is most common around the town of Poreč. It has lower acidity and a higher content of alcohol, and has a darker, richer colour. Its characteristic aroma reminds of almonds. The ideal serving temperature is 12 °C, with fish or white meat.

Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio is well known as a stable, quality wine. It is harmonious, light, contains less acidity and has a pleasant bouquet. It is cultivated in the north-western part of Istria. Its alcohol content is a bit elevated and its colour is intensive. Pinot Grigio should be served cooled down, at the temperature of 12 °C, to accompany white meat or fish dishes.

White Muscat

White Muscat has an intensive, full aroma, gold-green colour, with darker reflections. It is served as a dessert wine cooled down to 10–12 °C. It has a delicate, soft sweetness and a characteristic and intensive fragrance.
